Artstone

Cast stone is a cost effective alternative to natural cut stone whilst maintaining the same appearance and performance.

Manufacturing Process
Our cast stone is a two part mix, manufactured using a semi-dry method incorporating a mixture of natural finely ground aggregates, white or grey cement, waterproofing agents and where required colouring pigments. A backing mix is employed to give strength to units. All units are cast into individual moulds then immediately de-moulded on patras boards to minimise distortion. They are then hand finished to give a sharp, crisp and clean finish.

Curing
All units are palletised the following day, packed out using jiffy foam and shrink-wrapped to minimise movement. They are then transported to our indoor curing shed for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Compression Strength
Average Crushing Strength of cubes tested (face mix) 35mpa
